1: Academic Field Trips

Academic field trips are the enjoyable element of education. Field trips enhance significantly the content introduced in a course through conveying certain elements that cannot be illustrated with a broad spectrum in classrooms. There are several courses in the Faculty of Biotechnology that include going on field trips. One of the main courses that involve various field trips is the "Industrial Project" and "Cell and Tissue culture". The Industrial project promotes a spectrum of benefits to the students. It allows them to be exposed to various fields which are an opportunity to aspire them creatively and professionally. We intend to visit various sites as the ones mentioned in the following table.

2: Academic Speakers

From time to time the faculty invites Academic speakers from other institutions to discuss the different disciplines of science. This provides the chance for students to comprehend the opportunities, responsibilities and experience of the professional career in the spoken of field. The industrial project course highlights their importance since it aims to inspire our thriving young scientists through the exposure of the expertise of the renowned speaker. 4: Summer Training

Trainings are a fundamental tool used in the Faculty of Biotechnology. The training programs provided allows students to develop areas that suit their particular needs. During our trainings, attendees have the opportunity to interact with others from different organizations and different industries. These diverse perspectives allow students to explore innovative approaches to solve common issues. The variety of trainings offered permits learning, developing and interacting without the distractions of the everyday student duties. In addition it broadens the mind, raises issues and challenges the theoretical concept attained. Several institutes have accommodated our students for training. MSA University - Admission Requirements for Faculty of Dentistry
 

Conditions Required for Each Certificate:

Thanaweya Amma:

  • Only Scientific Science certificate is accepted.

IGCSE & GCSE:

 

1- The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8).

2- Passing grade for (OL) subjects is "C"

3- Passing grade for (AL or ASL) is "D"

4- Accepted scores must be taken during not more than (4) successive years with no maximum of IGCSE sittings.

5- There are (5) qualifying subjects :

  • English language or Literature.
  • Any branch of Math.
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
    + Student must take at least (3) more subjects.

American Diploma:

 

1- The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8) subjects.

2- At least (4) subjects from Grade 12 + Maximum of (2) subjects from Grade 10.

3- The passing grade for SAT 1 or EST 1 is 800 while ACT I the passing grade is 820.

4- Each requested subject MUST be at least (1) credit.

5- There are (5) qualifying subjects :

 

 

  • English Language or Literature or Composition.
  • Any branch of Math.
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
    + Student must take at least (3) more subjects.

Important Note: The rules regarding the validity and the accepted dates for SAT / ACT or EST are set and will be announced by the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt.

N.B : The passing grade for SAT2/EST2/ACT2 is 900
* Subjects must include: (Biology + Physics or Chemistry or Math)

Canadian:

 

1- The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8).

2- At least (5) subjects from Grade 12 +Maximum of (3) subjects from Grade 11

3- Subjects with less than one credit are not accepted.

4- There are (5) qualifying subjects :

  • English language or Literature.
  • Any branch of Math.
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
    + Student must take at least (3) more subjects.

IB:

1- The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (6).

2- The student MUST study (3) subjects at least on the higher level + (3) on the standard level.

3- In addition to Theory of Knowledge & Extended Essay.

4- Passing score is 24/45.

5- Arabic language can be considered one of the 6 required subjects

6- Qualifying subjects:

  • English Language or Literature
  • Biology (On the higher level)
  • Chemistry (On the higher level)
    + Student must take at least (3) more subjects.

Abitur:

 

1- The total number of subjects to be calculated are (7)

2- ONLY (1) subject can be calculated from Grade 10 if (Biology - Chemistry - Physics)

3- There are (5) qualifying subjects :

  • English language or Literature.
  • Any branch of Math.
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
    + Student must take at least (3) more subjects.

French Baccalauréat:

1. The total number of subjects to be calculated are (7)

2. Passing mark is (10)

3. French Oral & French Écrit are calculated as one subject

4. Only Série Scientifique (S) is qualified to join the faculty of Dentistry

5. Year 12 must include Sciences de la vie at de la terre subject

6. Physique-Chimie can be calculated from year 11 or 12

* Other foreign certificates including certificates from Arab countries are evaluated at the Admission Office in accordance to the regulations set by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.

Dentistry was first acknowledged and endorsed by the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE), as a validated training center for further/post graduate education in various dentistry branches. Our faculty hospital is equipped with 269 dental stations across 14 clinics and treats around 60’000 patients per year. MSA's Faculty of Dentistry is offering the most forward-looking educational environment in the country. The faculty provides dental students with the most distinguished dental staff members, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment which patient services are also dependable. MSA's Faculty of Dentistry is dedicated to improve analytical thinking capacity and problem solving attitudes of its dental students while preparing them as expert clinicians with adequate biomedical knowledge. MSA's dental students will understand not just how to apply science to practice, but how to employ compassion in the management and treatment of human illness. The Faculty of Dentistry recognizes that oral health is an integral component of general health. History:

Faculty of dentistry was established 2004 / 2005.
In 2004, The number of student was 54 & the number of dental units was 5 units.
In 2015, The number of student is 1941 & The Number of dental units is 250 units.
