The Swedish Addison Association was founded in 2005 by Martin Norrman to spread awareness about the disease globally through the global Addison team. The Addison team is present in Germany, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Serbia, Slovakia, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, Spain, and other countries. The organisation appoints an ambassador chosen by Martin Norrman for each country. The organization has conducted awareness campaigns in about 200 countries worldwide so far.
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eman Sherin has been actively involved in various initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness about the disease, especially through social media. This marks the first time the organisation has appointed an ambassador in Egypt and the Middle East. A collaboration agreement has been established between the Swedish Addison Foundation and the Faculty of Pharmacy at MSA University, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eman Sherin, who is honoured to communicate and respond to any inquiries about the disease through this link.
