Multimedia Journalism Program
The Multimedia Journalism Program at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, in cooperation with British universities, offers a distinguished educational program that keeps pace with the requirements of the market and technological developments in the fields of digital journalism, mobile journalism, and social media journalism. The program aims to prepare graduates capable of facing the competitive market, embracing the culture of entrepreneurship, and conducting scientific research to serve society.

MSA University’s Faculty of Mass Communication hosted an inspiring session featuring Ahmed Embaby, the esteemed Vice Editor-in-Chief of Rose Al Youssef magazine and Editor-in-Chief of DMC Channel

Mobile journalism training provided to faculty members by the faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University. It was presented by the trainer and expert in mobile journalism, journalist Osama Al-Deeb, in 30 training hours. Through this training, 12 professional and innovative video reports were produced about different characters. At the end of the last day of training, faculty members received certificates of passing the training course.

The selection of the following three college graduates: Amaya Mohamed Salah, Nour Ahmed Galal, and Radwa Ahmed Mohamed for training at Al-Nahar channel. Nominating five college students for training in a workshop held by the National Council for Women on Sunday, December 3, 2023 entitled “Using artificial intelligence in addressing women's issues”. Farah Zakaria was selected to be a trainee at Al-Nahar channel

The President of the National Council for Women, honored the winners of the National Session for Women competition, including faculty members and students, in participating in the Media Committee seminar “We must change its image”. The marketing campaign “Let her have a solution” won for psychological and therapeutic rehabilitation after female circumcision, prepared by the students Zainab Majdi, Najat Ashraf and Meryl Yousry under the supervision of Dr. Hayat Badr and Mr. Ruqaya Saber. The documentary film “Echo of Silence” by the student Halla Rajeh won under the supervision of Dr. Noha Samir Mahjoub and Mr. Louay Fahm. Ms. Habiba El-Sherbini, teaching assistant at the Faculty, for a master's degree entitled “How do Egyptian women use social networking platforms to detect harassers”
Broadcasting Platform Program
The Broadcasting Platforms Program at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, in cooperation with British universities, provides an educational system that keeps pace with developments in the field of radio and television production, creates job opportunities, opens the way for entrepreneurship through various digital platforms, supports participation in applied scientific research, and develops the capabilities of its members within the framework of quality standards and core values.

The "TV Presenting and Production" course

A directing workshop at the college studio entitled “The Future of Television Direction in Light of Digital Media Techniques” in which the great director of Egyptian television, Dr. Yaser Flux, attended by the great director of Egyptian television, Dr. Yussr Flouks.

Our MCOM335a class had the honor of gaining insights from our distinguished guest speaker, Ms. Lina El Ghadban, an accomplished broadcast journalist! She shared her wealth of experience in the realms of news reporting and editing, offering valuable perspectives to our eager minds

A training course was dedicated to the rehabilitation of MSA University broadcasters at the “Website” website for training and media rehabilitation. This training was characterized by providing students with the opportunity to cover a number of important events, most notably the recent presidential elections, in addition to conducting interviews with a number of prominent figures from Egypt and the world, including ministers, ambassadors and civil society workers

The young director Ahmed Hani Abu Zanada, a graduate of the Department of Broadcasting at MSA University, was able to win the Gold Award for his film “Trukage”. The film deals with the subject of cinematic tricks. It is a documentary work of art that is characterized by its innovations and unique creativity.
Strategic Communication Program
The Strategic Communication Program at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, in collaboration with a British university, aims to produce exceptional graduates who can keep pace with the rapid developments in public relations, advertising, and digital marketing. By utilizing artificial intelligence technologies across various fields, our graduates will contribute to positive societal change. Through the development of both practical and theoretical skills aligned with the competitive job market, our department fosters entrepreneurship in the field of strategic communication.

The Faculty of Mass Communication organized the “DESIGN HUB” exhibition, which witnessed a special presentation of its students' creations in the “Electronic Publishing MCOM102”, “Principles of Design MCOM104” and “MCOM226 Advertising Workshop” courses.

The Faculty of Mass Communication organized an engaging workshop titled "Recent PR Practices in the Egyptian Market," which offered valuable insights into the dynamic realm of public relations. The event featured presentations by industry experts, including Mr. Nader Ibrahim, CEO of Ooh my Brand agency

The Faculty of Mass Communication successfully conducted a workshop titled "The IDEAL Way to Launch Your Career in Advertising". This exclusive session catered to students specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. Facilitated by Ms. Dina El Hawary.

A seminar entitled “The importance of academic media study in content creation” attended and participated by “Aya Saleh”, director of television and digital press and a senior specialist in quality control

Faculty of Media at MSA University were honored for winning 7 awards in the Media Innovation and Scientific Research Competition organized by the Media and Digital Transformation Foundation. Awards: First place in dramatic films. Second place in documentary films. Third place in documentary films. First place in the Innovation Award in Public Relations and Advertising. First place in scientific research. The celebration was held at Egypt University for Science and Technology. This competition is the largest and most important competition in the Arab world and Africa, which promotes media talents and encourages constructive competition. Distinguished projects were selected with the help of an international jury team that works to develop their abilities by interacting with their colleagues.

Dr. Dina Maurice is a highly accomplished Communications expert and television producer with a proven track record of success in the television industry. With over 15 years of experience in various channels and networks such as ON E, ON TV, Dream TV, and most recently MBC Masr in the 'El Hekaya with Air Adeeb' Program.
Throughout her career, Dr. Dina has held diverse roles, showcasing her versatility and comprehensive understanding of the media landscape. She has excelled as a TV researcher, adeptly uncovering relevant information and insights to support compelling storytelling. As a skilled script writer, she has crafted engaging narratives that resonate with audiences. Additionally, she has successfully served as a field producer, line producer, and segment producer.
Dr. Dina's expertise extends to a wide range of TV formats, including talk shows and investigative shows. Her in-depth knowledge of these formats enables her to design and execute captivating programs that captivate viewers and leave a lasting impact. Her ability to navigate the complexities of the media landscape, combined with Dr. Dina's sharp analytical skills, has consistently resulted in the creation of engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Dr. Dina is a graduate of Cairo University’s Faculty of Mass Communication, where she currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Communication. Dr. El-Shimy has joined the academic field in 2004 when she became a part time instructor at AUC. In 2006, she served as a full-time lecturer in the Management Sciences Department at MSA, and in 2023; she joined the Faculty of Mass Communication. All this gave her a profound experience in teaching various topics that include World History, Western Civilization, Introduction to Political Science, International Relations, Business Ethics, Sustainable Development, Social Psychology, Media Psychology and Cultural Diversity.
In the meantime, Dr. El-Shimy has been conducting professional work in the academic field and has published several articles that have addressed various issues. Some of these articles are:

In addition, she is frequently hosted on Nile TV to discuss global issues such as: Egyptian Russian Relations under President El Sisi, The Role of Egypt in the Arab World and Africa, and The United States as a world power.
