MSA University - Faculty of Management Sciences - ACCA

 

The Accounting Program at the Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) has received accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the Middle East.

 

This accreditation results in our students being exempt from four core courses, in addition to two supplementary courses. Faculty members and students in the Accounting Department will benefit from a discount on certification fees of up to 70%, while graduates from the Accounting Department will receive a discount of up to 80%.

 

This accreditation will apply to graduates from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2028. It will enable students enrolled in the Accounting Program to integrate their academic studies with ACCA training.

 

The ACCA qualification will provide our students with a diploma and bachelor's degree in accounting from the United Kingdom, as well as a master's degree in accounting from the University of Glasgow, also in the United Kingdom.

• The Faculty of Management Sciences (MSA) prides itself in the MSc in Business Administration program in being accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, so the student who successfully completes all requirements of the program doesn’t need to go through any further process or expenses of accreditation and can readily register for PhD degree in any public/ governmental Universities in Egypt.

 

• Moreover, applicants of the program can register their thesis in any accepted areas of Business Administration as for example Finance, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Production and Operations Management, General Management, Management Information Systems or any other areas in Business Administration.

 

• The MSc Program provides graduates with advanced academic research knowledge, skills and autonomous learning experiences to prepare graduates for an academic career path.

Full Tuition fees are subject to an annual increase 7%

 

International students pay the equivalent of Egyptian tuition fees in USD

 

Tuition Fees Notes:

  • Non-Egyptians must pay their fees in Dollars, in equivalence to the Egyptian Pounds.
  • The specified tuition fees include studying the modules (courses), registering the thesis, supervising and discussing the thesis.
  • The tuition fees for the year can be paid in two installments.
  • ‘Repeating a module (course) tuition fees’ are paid by the student when he/she fails any module (course) as it is necessary to repeat it.
  • Full Tuition fees are subject to an annual increase 7%

The specified duration of the program is not less than two years, and this period can be extended for a few months in light of the report of the main supervisor explaining the degree of student’s achievement in the thesis. But if the student is late for a full year, he/she must pay tuition fees equivalent to 50% of the total tuition fees of the program. And if he/she is two years late, he/she must pay the total tuition fees of the program again. If the student does not graduate after that, his/her name will be removed from the program and it is necessary to repeat the entire program again, with new tuition fees, which are in effect at the time of repetition, if the student wishes to complete the study.

The programme prepares students for a wide variety of future careers including banks, brokerage firms, accounting firms, and multinational corporations in various industries. Some students join the Certified Financial Accountants, Certified Financial Management, Association for Certified Chartered Accountants. Students can also work in marketing and economic research firms where they work as financial and investment analysts, in the Ministries of Investment or Planning, non-governmental organizations, and chambers of commerce. The students also choose to specialise by continuing their education at the Master’s level.

Minors

MSA University is always keen to offer its students a competitive edge to complement their Bachelor degrees. And because many students are interested to acquire a strong foundation in many areas of study, MSA University decided to introduce minors that will be of interest to MSAians with high academic achievement, in many exciting areas.

 

Earning a minor allows students to address their diverse academic interests and develop extra skills, which for a future employer is very important to show that they have a second area of expertise. The student can chose a minor that goes in handy with the student’s major or a minor that is in a totally different field to add excitement to their studying experience at MSA. For example, if you’re an Engineering student, how about taking up a Management minor? You sure would like to open up your own business one day, and you’ll certainly need to learn more about organizational management and how to become a great leader.

 

It's a very flexible way to plan ahead and combine their areas of interest and save time and money in their years of university study; it only consists of 5 courses. The only requirement is a minimum of CGPA 2.00 in the first year in university.

 

It’s worthy to mention that taking a minor will extend the student’s regular graduation time by one semester. Chose a minor and stand out!
